Project Recipe: Regional Educational Centres in Pedagogical Europe

Norway: May 2016.
Scoil Chríost Rí is working with five countries (Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Norway and Ireland) to explore and enhance the quality and performance of school-Education Centre partnerships with an emphasis on Early School Leaving. The RECIPE project (Regional Education Centres in Pedagogical Europe), promotes collaboration with other European partners to develop and disseminate better quality training and support systems for teachers in all European countries. As part of this work, Theresa McGann from Scoil Chríost Rí together with Pat Hanrahan, Director of the Clare Education Centre and Eamon Curley from Scoil na Maighdine Mhuire, Newmarket-on-Fergus travelled to Norway to share best practice from an Irish perspective and learn from other European teachers. The course is fully funded through ERASMUS European Project through our national agency Léargas.

Job Shadowing:   19th - 21st of April, 2016.

Through the RECIPE project funding we had 4 Portuguese teachers in our school job-shadowing.  They had a great experience in our school watching the different classes doing Irish, Literacy Lift off, Maths Recovery, Accelerated Reader, Hurling, a guided historical tour of Dromoland Castle and a musical experience at Seinn na nÓg.

Scoil Chríost Rí is working with schools and educational settings in five European countries to explore and enhance the quality and performance of school-Education Centre partnerships. The project, entitled Regional Education Centres in Pedagogical Europe (RECIPE) promotes collaboration with other European partners to develop and disseminate better quality training and support systems for teachers in all European countries. As part of this work, three teachers from Scoil Chríost Rí (Mrs. McGann, Mr. Garry and Mr. Healy) will travel to Sesimbra, Portugal to share best practice from an Irish perspective and learn from other European teachers. The course is fully funded through ERASMUS European Project through our national agency Léargas.
