MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Mr Hugh Connolly
Welcome to our school. We are rebuilding our school website. Soon you will be able to access all the information you need about our school.
Scoil Chríost Rí opened its doors in 1978 and in 2018 we moved into our new state of the art school where we have 12 classrooms, 7 support rooms, a music room, a school library, a preschool, a sensory room and a parents' room. Outdoor facilities include a basketball court, an astro turf, a school garden and a junior yard with soft surface. Our school is adjacent to the beautiful River Fergus and there are plans underway to establish a kayaking club in the near future.
We are a coeducational Catholic primary school where we strive to enable all our pupils to become lifelong learners. All classrooms are equipped with the latest in digital technologies such as Promethean Interactive Panels, a selection of PCs for pupil use, and a suite of iPads shared across the school.
All children from 2nd to 6th class are afforded the opportunity to play a musical instrument of their choice and play in our junior and senior school bands. The provision of musical instruments and tuition is free of charge thanks to a very successful instrument donation scheme operated by Cllr. Mary Howard.
Our parents are very much involved in our school and we welcome their input as primary educators of their children. Parents take part in language classes, cookery classes, yoga and support our teachers and pupils by helping out in Maths For Fun, Science For Fun and other activities throughout the year.
Please check back in with us soon as we update our school website.
