| A reminder that the school closes today for the mid term break and will re-open on Monday 9th May. As we enter into the summer months, why not have a listen to the beautiful rendition of Will You Go Lassie Go which concluded the recent Seinn na nÓg concert. |
The Green Schools Committee at Scoil Chríost Rí were very proud to help Ennis Tidy Towns launch 'Spring Clean 2016'. We were particularly excited to welcome Clare Senior Hurling Manager, Davy Fitzgerald, to our school to help launch the campaign. Best of luck in the match on Sunday!
![]() Last night marked the official launch of Seinn na nÓg. We all had a fantastic night full of music, song and dance with a number of schools contributing to the wonderful atmosphere in the Cathedral. Well done to all involved and especially to Joe Searson and our own Karen Vaughan for all of their hard work and enthusiasm. This was our Biodiversity flag and our committee has been working so hard to make this happen. Well done to the boys and girls of the Biodiversity team and to Ms de Barra and Mr Crehan for their dedication. We can celebrate this years Earth Day knowing that we are doing our bit to help the environment at our school! ![]() March was an eventful and busy month at Scoil Chríost Rí! Click here to see what April has in store in our monthly newsletter! Today some children from third and fifth class visited Mulqueen's Garden Centre to learn how to plant flowers in hanging baskets and window boxes. Thank you to Tony Mulqueen for his wonderful help and advice and thank you to Billy Cusack, our fantastic caretaker, for organising the visit. We now have beautiful hanging baskets in front of our school.
Our Active school committee have come up with a great way of involving each child in the Junior Yard in games at lunch time. Students from 4th, 5th and 6th class are each assigned a game and groups of children from Junior Infants and Senior Infants play at each station for 5 minutes. Not only does this make sure that each child is active in a structured game; it also means that each and every child is playing happily in a group of their peers. It has been a huge success so far. Well done to Ms White and the students involved who give up their own yard time to help!
