On the 16th of October, we had some very special visitors from Canada. The Celtic Rathskallions put on an exciting and energetic show at Scoil Chríost Rí. There was some reading, a little bit of science, a little bit of silliness, a lot of music and we all had loads of fun! Click here to watch a short video of their performance. At Scoil Chríost Rí, we have been busy learning all about the different types of life around our school. Ms Horgan's Junior Infants have been learning all about Autumn by doing leaf rubbings, learning about hedgehogs and creating an Autumn display. Ms. Behan's 1st Class took part in a mini-beast survey and recorded all the creatures they found. Ms. de Barra's 3rd Class sketched our wonderful wildflower garden and all the creatures visiting it. We love nature! On the 8th of October, 3rd Class visited Clare Library to listen to the author and illustrator, Alan Nolan, tell funny stories. We loved hearing Alan's silly stories about his childhood. He also taught us how to draw Ogg, a character from one of Alan's books. Thanks Alan and Clare Library! We had so much fun!
Our Ladies Football Team finished their year in style today at Eire Og Ennis with a come from behind win over the Ennis National School. Thanks to all girls and their parents for their participation all year.
