Pupils in 5th & 6th class launched their Junior Entrepreneur Programme project at a showcase day in Scoil Chríost Rí. Tom Glynn the county JEP coorodinator visited the class with the Clare People to record the launch. There will be a feature in next week's Clare people on the JEP projects in Clare so keep an eye out for our school's entry.
Well done to Ronan from 3rd Class who was picked to represent Scoil Chríost Rí as part of a National Go Games promotional video! Ronan appears at around the 2 minute mark on the video! ![]() Scoil Chríost Rí Magazine2015 ORDER NOW! One Magazine = €6.00 SPECIAL OFFER! Two Magazines for €10.00! Sylvie Sims is the counsellor here in the school and is looking for a little support from teachers, parents and children to help acquire free art and craft supplies to use with the children she works with in the school.
You can help by visiting Sylvie's YouTube channel which is called The Irish Scrapper. This site is suitable for all age groups. She is asking if you could press the subscribe button and like some of the tutorials she has posted on the channel. This will encourage art and craft shops to give her art products to demonstrate on the channel. She would have to make one tutorial using the products and what is left over after the demonstration can be use with the children. These products are usually very expensive to buy and will be the most up to date products on the market so the children will have the pleasure of using new art and craft supplies on a regular basis. Thank you for your support! Our School Soccer League concluded last Thursday and was again a huge success. We had another 2 very tight games in the Shield Final and Cup Final. Shield Final: Liverpool 4 - 1 Man City Cup Final Celtic 2 - 2 Man Utd - (Celtic won 4-2 in a Penalty Shootout). Thank you to everybody for participating and to all those who helped make it a success. Our school soccer panels will be selected later this week for the FAI 5-a-side competition later this month. Well done to our 6th Class who made their Confirmation on Friday 6th March. Parents and staff alike were all very proud of how well the students behaved and performed their individual readings and jobs on the day. Thank you to our choir and the members of the school band who added to the ceremony with their music. For more pictures visit our school gallery.
Thanks to De Valera Library for inviting First Class to a reading of some stories in Irish. What a great way to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge and World Book Day! Bhaineamar an-taitneamh go deo as an scéal 'Teidí agus Ainmhithe na Feirme'.
Tomorrow, the 5th of March is World Book Day. We love reading and like to read lots of different genres of books! Look below to see some of the ways that we use books for enjoyment and learning.
