During the last school year Ms Collins 3rd class took part in an art project run by CRAFTed with ceramic artist, Kathleen Moroney. We all worked so hard and created fantastic clay masks. The work was of such a high standard and the project was so successful Scoil Chriost Rí was chosen to be part of an art exhibition called "make |shape: collaborations in clay" in the Ark in Dublin. The exhibition is presented by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland in partnership with The Ark, as part of CRAFTed: Learning Skills for Life primary schools programme. Four students masks were chosen to represent the project for the class in the exhibition. Well done to Lena Casey, Michael Akujobi, Róisín Mbou and Pádraig Dinan!! Your working will be on display in The Ark from 9th September to the 18th of October. So if you are in Dublin during that time make sure to check out the exhibition!! Well done to our Gold medalist and all who competed in yesterday's Cross Country finals at Lee's Road. Great effort by all!
![]() Scoil Chríost Rí is so proud of our past pupil David Reidy who won an All-Ireland U-21 hurling medal on Saturday. Clare beat a great Wexford side by 2-20 to 3-11 to win their third U-21 hurling final in a row. David is an example to all of us at Scoil Chríost Rí of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication. He is pictured here with Mr Roughan in Thurles enjoying the celebrations after the match. |
