Senior Infants are great at 'Giving me 5'....feet are on the floor, eyes are watching, ears are listening, mouth is closed and arms are folded!
Mrs. McGann's and Mrs. Troy's classes are loving being back at school. For Aistear this month we are learning all about being 'Back to School'. In our role play we had pupils, lollipop ladies and men, teachers, secretaries and even the principal was around, to make sure everyone was behaving themselves...he/she was keeping notes!!
Building Our New School: The children had great ideas on what our new school building should look like. Mr. Roughan got a few tips for the real school building!
We are learning about money.

They are getting a chance to make their favourite character with playdough, are super at sequencing the story and are even making potions.....so be careful, they know the magic words iggety, ziggety, zaggety zoom!!!!

For Aistear this month we were telling the news and the weather forecast. Our big news was about our new school being built and we're going to be moving in very shortly. We learned about all different types of weather as every day is different!!! We loved our science experiments about ice melting into water and finding out what materials were waterproof.

For Aistear this month we built our own houses just like the builders are building our new school. We tried a straw house, a house of sticks and a house of bricks. Unfortunately the big bad wolf blew down the straw house and stick house but he won't be able to blow down our new school!
