The importance of physical activity.
Being physically active is one of the most important steps you can take to help improve the health of your children, whatever their age or ability. It is recommended that children should participate in 60 ,minutes of physically activity throughout the day.
Children are naturally active so any amount of physical activity counts towards their 60 minutes. Walking or cycling to and from school, active games such as hopscotch, tag, skipping as well as organised activities such as soccer, football, dancing and swimming all count. Click on the link below from the Irish Heart Foundation to learn more about helping your children get active!!!
